Aberlour

Where Craft Becomes Experience

Brand Activation

Brief

How do you express artisanal craftsmanship, authenticity and quiet confidence within the premium single malt whisky category?

Aberlour speaks to whisky lovers who value substance over spectacle. Knowledgeable and discerning, they are drawn to brands with genuine provenance rather than overt luxury cues. Our challenge was to create a travel retail experience that embodied Aberlour’s understated character while inviting travellers to engage with the brand in a meaningful and memorable way.

Big Idea

We developed a retail design language rooted in the landscape and craft traditions of Speyside. Natural stone and richly textured timber formed the foundation of the environment, while the flowing Lour Burn became the conceptual thread that connected every touchpoint.

The furniture was intentionally simple and tactile — unadorned in appearance, yet unmistakably premium through its materiality, detailing and craftsmanship. At the heart of the activation sat a travelling print studio housed within an artist’s pachade, where visitors could create and personalise one of three original artworks inspired by Aberlour’s elemental pillars: wood, water and grain. The experience translated the brand’s Redefined Craft philosophy into a hands-on expression of individuality, making each interaction as unique as the whisky itself.

Result

A tactile, craft-led retail experience that distilled the spirit of Aberlour into its purest form — natural materials, thoughtful storytelling and personalised artistry combined to create an understated yet memorable destination for discerning whisky travellers.
